2018 Silk Road China-europe In­vest­ment Fo­rum held

The 2018 Silk Road China- Europe In­vest­ment Fo­rum was held in Fuzhou on May 18. More than 200 del­e­gates of en­ter­prises from China, Be­larus, Italy, Por­tu­gal and Hun­gary dis­cussed the in­vest­ment co­op­er­a­tion out­look and op­por­tu­ni­ties be­tween China and Eu­ro­pean coun­tries un­der the Belt and Road Ini­tia­tive.

As a side­line event of the 21st Cen­tury Mar­itime Silk Road Expo and the 20th Cross- Straits Fair for Econ­omy and Trade, this fo­rum was aimed at deep­en­ing the eco­nomic and trade co­op­er­a­tion be­tween China and rel­e­vant coun­tries and pro­mot­ing the China-europe two-way in­vest­ment.

When ad­dress­ing the fo­rum, Chen Zhou, Vice Chair­man of the CCPIT, which hosted the fo­rum, said that the CCPIT, as China’s largest trade pro­mo­tion agency, has long been ded­i­cated to pro­mot­ing China-for­eign busi­ness ex­changes and de­vel­op­ing good re­la­tions with for­eign em­bassies in China.

“The CCPIT will build more trade and in­vest­ment pro­mo­tion plat­forms, foster in­for­ma­tion, com­mer­cial and le­gal ser­vices and fa­cil­i­tate two-way in­vest­ment. The CCPIT will work with the gov­ern­ments, cham­bers of com­merce, etc., of Eu­ro­pean coun­tries to cre­ate more co­op­er­a­tion op­por­tu­ni­ties for both sides to achieve mu­tual ben­e­fits and win-win de­vel­op­ment,” added Chen. Busi­ness and trade of­fi­cials from the em­bassies of Be­larus, Italy, Por­tu­gal and Hun­gary pro­vided briefs on the re­spec­tive busi­ness en­vi­ron­ments, in­vest­ment poli­cies and in­vest­ment projects.
