Abstract: Research development urgently needs the participation of library embedded subject services. However, current library embedded subject services in TCM colleges and universities are set up late, with few settings and slow development, and it is difficult to meet scientific research needs. Library embedded subject services need to comprehensively improve the overall professional quality of subject librarians and expand the ranks of outstanding subject librarians. At the same time, research, teaching and subject services should mutually reinforce each other. Service platforms with the specialty disciplines of TCM should be built to realize resource sharing, and subject services should be innovated to promote sustainable and healthy development of TCM business.

Key words: TCM colleges and universities; scientific research; libraries; embedded subject services
