CALLAGHAN WALSH
Photographed “An Island in Full,”
An award-winning Hong Kong–based Australian photographer, Walsh loves exploring off-the-beaten track destinations and examining the cultural juxtapositions between tradition and modernity. “You see a lot of that on Vietnam’s largest island, Phu Quoc, where you have everything from the heady heights of the new JW Marriott resort to the fish-sauce factories of yesteryear. It’s an intoxicating blend. Speaking of fish sauce, it’s hard to beat this punchy local delicacy; I took a load back home to continue my culinary journey.” Walsh’s editorial work has also appeared in L’Umo Vogue and Condé Nast Traveller UK.
