Singapore–New York Singapore Airlines

October 11 marks the resumption of Singapore Airlines’ New York route, which takes the record for the world’s longest commercial flight at up to 18 hours and 45 minutes. Utilizing new Airbus A350900ULR aircraft with 67 seats in business class and 94 in premium economy, services between Changi and Newark will start off thrice-weekly before going daily on October 18 ( singaporea­ir.com).

Frankfurt–Kuala Lumpur Condor

Three years after Malaysia Airlines stopped flying to Frankfurt, German leisure carrier Condor will reconnect the two cities on November 1 with a thriceweek­ly nonstop service aboard two-class Boeing 767s. The outward journey from Frankfurt is scheduled to take 12 hours and 20 minutes, compared to a flight time of just under 14 hours on the return leg ( condor.com).
