Not content with a recent switch to compostable cups made from paper and corn, Air New Zealand has partnered with Aucklandbased family business Twiice to take its waste-reduction efforts one step further. The carrier is now trailing Twiice’s edible coffee cups both at airport lounges in Auckland and inside the passenger cabin on select flights to Australia. Handmade in small batches, the crisp vanilla-flavored biscotti cups are leak-proof and provide better insulation from the heat of a freshly poured coffee than their paper counterparts ( airnewzealand.com).
