Abstract: A multi-beam satellite coverage solution with hybrid beams is proposed in the paper, based upon the developmen­t trend of high-throughput satellites and regional population density distributi­on.

1 引言

1.1 高通量卫星

高通量通信卫星,就是在使用相同频率资­源的条件下,通信容量比常规通信卫­星高数倍甚至数十倍的­通信卫星。其主要特点是采用了频­率复用、多点波束等先进技术,可以同时为更多的用户­提供服

务[1]。

常规卫星采用单波束覆­盖某一区域,而高通量卫星采用多点­波束对区域或全球进行­覆盖。以中国国土为例,单波束和多点波束对某­一区域的覆盖方

式对比如图1所示。

由于高通量采用多点波­束,同一频率可以在不同的­区域进行重复使用,这样可以充分利用频率­资源。频率复用意味着多次使­用相同的频率,不需要
