When it comes to exemplary service in Asia, we’re often spoiled, so it’s no surprise there was a tough battle in this category. In the end, Mandarin Oriental pipped Shangri- La and Four Seasons to the post to claim the title of best hotel brand. The luxury hospitality group has a number of projects in the pipeline, notably two new properties opening in Beijing next year: the Mandarin Oriental, Wangfujing and the hutong- based Mandarin Oriental, Qianmen.
