SCOTLAND IS NOT particularly known for its surf. Whisky, on the other hand, is the nation’s lifeblood. But the two have been brought together by a special collaboration between Scottish whisky distillery Glenmorangie and US-based Grain Surfboards. The unlikely partnership has seen the creation of unique handcrafted surfboards made from the staves of old Glenmorangie whisky barrels, with the aged American white oak giving the boards a beautiful, distinctive pattern.
