SURROUNDED BY SNOW-CAPPED forests, Tomamu Ice Village is a winter wonderland that’s also carved entirely from ice. It has an Ice Hotel, of course – let’s not forget the original Swedish one was inspired by Japanese ice sculptors. You can steep in an outdoor bath, ice-skate – or stick to drinking good Japanese whisky at the ice bar. Couples can even get married in the Ice Chapel, complete with alter, benches and cross made from snow (pictured).
