MAN’S BEST FRIEND is honoured in New York this month with the opening of the Museum of the Dog. Hundreds of hound-inspired artworks will be featured – such as Millie on the South Lawn (below), a portrait of former US First Lady Barbara Bush’s beloved English springer spaniel. The space curated by the American Kennel Club will also feature canine sculptures, porcelain figurines, interactive displays and posters of famous Hollywood pooches such as Lassie.
