Liu met a very beau­ti­ful lady in her 20s near a fruit store in Changy­ing, Beijing. The girl told him that she lives in a nearby res­i­den­tial com­pound and came to buy fruit, but for­got to take money with her. She first bor­rowed 500 yuan from Liu, claim­ing that she would re­turn it to him very soon. Min­utes later, she came out of the fruit store to bor­row another 400 yuan and went back in. He started to sus­pect that she had duped him when af­ter wait­ing for her out­side the store for half an hour, she did not come out. Sev­eral other res­i­dents also en­coun­tered the same thing. Chaoyang po­lice re­cently ar­rested the sus­pect.
