Global Times – Metro Beijing - - TWO CENTS -

“Officer, I work the lottery station. A man came to collect his winnings with a large number of lottery tickets, and I suspect he stole them.”

So said the owner of a lottery station in Chaoyang district over the phone on May 7. A man surnamed Wang stole about 20,000 yuan ($3,133) worth of lottery tickets on the night of May 5. For fear that he would be identified, two days later, he went to a lottery station far away from the one he stole from to collect his winnings. However, the two lottery station owners are in the same WeChat group where a post was made warning other station owners of the incident. Wang admitted that he stole the lottery tickets and has been arrested. Further investigation is underway. (Source: Beijing Youth Daily)
