A celebration of the recent opening of W Brisbane in Brisbane’s central business district (CBD), the first five-star hotel to open in the area in 20 years, took place on October 30. W Shanghai – The Bund, hosted “Brisbane Fever” – an Australian themed party at its outdoor terrace.

W Brisbane is located in southeast Queensland, known as the “Sunshine State,” overlooking the Brisbane River. There is no doubt that the W Brisbane is the best choice for guests to steep in the city’s vibrant culture and colorful nightlife.

At the party, famous musicians performed live music for the guests. The party kicked off with a performance brought by Gio Vanhoutte, W Shanghai – The Bund’s music curator. CrystalQ, a Taiwan and Chinese mainland-based DJ, whose work has swept across Asia and Europe within the past few years, followed with her personalized tracks. Also, the New York-based hip-hop artist Bohan Phoenix was one of the many highlights of the live show.

Located on the prosperous North Bund, W Shanghai – The Bund enjoys a fantastic cityscape of the Bund in Shanghai. The designer at W ShanghaiThe Bund had combined the beautiful scenery of Shanghai with bold and bright party decorations to bring life to the venue’s design. The performance stage was shaped as a giant golden pineapple and highlighted the party. Even though W Brisbane is thousands of kilometers away from China, the party connected the guests from the two countries perfectly.

W Shanghai-The Bund was opened in June 2017. It unveils views of the Huangpu River and owns totally 374 guestrooms and suites which design features illustrate a Shanghai-style culture and bring the guests a sense of modernity and tradition.
