Don’t be upset! We still have another New Year

Global Times – Metro Beijing - - TWOCENTS -

I’m the kind of person who always has a plan but seldom put it into practice. So when I know that many people are the same as me, it’s really a relief (A year’s worth of reflection,

November 30).

Every December is my reflection month. I finally have a chance to look back and review what I’ve done in the past year. Some people feel satisfied, while many people like me feel a little upset, because it seems like I have had another plain year. I haven’t been promoted, I still struggle with morning rush hour. I remain single, and to top it off, I have no cat or dog to keep me company in my house. Although I have made some achievements, when comparing myself to other people, I still feel sorry for this year, and cannot help asking myself about my past year’s accomplishments.

But I want to say that if you feel the same as me, it’s not a bad thing. It proves that we still have plenty of time to dream of a better life, and the fire inside us is still bursting with flames. As the New Year is about to come, why not make another list of wishes and try to make them come true. Just do it. You’ll never know what is in store for you.
