“The 10-month-old girl was found by police just 8 hours later.”
A 10-month-old girl in Qingpu district was found 8 hours after being separated from her parents, Xinmin Evening News reported Tuesday. At around 3 pm Tuesday, police received a call that a baby girl had been taken away by a stranger while playing in a local park. The girl’s grandfather surnamed Wang had asked the stranger to watch the girl while he went to fetch his adult daughter-in-law. When Wang returned, both the baby and the stranger were missing. An intensive investigation led the police to a rental house at 10:45 pm that same night. Suspects Yang, aged 40 from Southwest China’s Yunnan Province and Deng, aged 46 from Central China’s Hunan Province, were found with the baby and immediately detained. The girl was returned home safe.
