At around 3 pm Tuesday, police received a call that a baby girl had been taken away by a stranger while playing in a local park. The girl’s grandfather surnamed Wang had asked the stranger to watch the girl while he went to fetch his adult daughter-in-law. When Wang returned, both the baby and the stranger were missing. An intensive investigation led the police to a rental house at 10:45 pm that same night. Suspects Yang, aged 40 from Southwest China’s Yunnan Province and Deng, aged 46 from Central China’s Hunan Province, were found with the baby and immediately detained.
