ALL THAT JAZZ
Annual free outdoor music festival returns to the streets of Shanghai
As spring sweeps Shanghai with warmth and lush greenness, jazz is also tempting locals back outside with the sound of music. JZ Spring 2018, an annual jazz music festival, was held from Monday to Wednesday along the city’s downtown Nanjing Road West. It gathered musicians and artists from more than 20 countries and regions; their outdoor performances were free to the public. Besides stage and street performances, other activities and programs included the JZ School, which featured jazz performed by local children, a handicrafts fair and a “selfie wall” where music lovers captured their memories from the carnival.
