Men­tor­ing camp for over­seas re­turnees

In or­der to pro­vide ad­vi­sory ser­vices for re­turnees and make more in­ter­na­tional tal­ents take root in Shanghai or be­come suc­cess­ful en­trepreneurs, the first China camp for men­tor­ing over­seas re­turnees to start their own busi­ness re­cently opened in Shanghai, Laodong Daily re­ported Sun­day.

Data re­veal that the num­ber of over­seas re­turnees com­ing to Shanghai for work or to start a busi­ness is over 150,000, with about 5,000 com­pa­nies and $780 mil­lion in reg­is­tered cap­i­tal. It was also re­ported that ap­prox­i­mately 6,500 over­seas re­turnees set­tled in Shanghai in the first half of 2018, a dra­matic 69.9 per­cent in­crease from 2017.

Mean­while, 68 ex­perts joined the vol­un­teer or­ga­ni­za­tion in Shanghai on Satur­day. About 1,000 ex­perts joined the group over the past 18 years, col­lec­tively serv­ing 350,000 hours and men­tor­ing over 470,000 peo­ple. No­tice­ably, the ad­vi­sory served by ex­perts is the most pop­u­lar among the re­quired ser­vice ex­pec­ta­tion of guid­ance.
