Mentoring camp for overseas returnees
In order to provide advisory services for returnees and make more international talents take root in Shanghai or become successful entrepreneurs, the first China camp for mentoring overseas returnees to start their own business recently opened in Shanghai, Laodong Daily reported Sunday.
Data reveal that the number of overseas returnees coming to Shanghai for work or to start a business is over 150,000, with about 5,000 companies and $780 million in registered capital. It was also reported that approximately 6,500 overseas returnees settled in Shanghai in the first half of 2018, a dramatic 69.9 percent increase from 2017.
Meanwhile, 68 experts joined the volunteer organization in Shanghai on Saturday. About 1,000 experts joined the group over the past 18 years, collectively serving 350,000 hours and mentoring over 470,000 people. Noticeably, the advisory served by experts is the most popular among the required service expectation of guidance.
