Shanghai sum­mer tourism up to 6.8 mil­lion

The num­ber of vis­its paid by in­bound and out­bound tourists through Shanghai air­ports ex­ceeded 6.8 mil­lion over the sum­mer start­ing July 1, with over 130,000 vis­its per day, which reached a new high, east­day.com re­ported Sun­day.

No­tice­ably, en­try and exit ports in Shanghai re­ceived over 166,000 vis­its on July 23, re­new­ing the sin­gle-day record.

In or­der to en­sure safe and smooth passage at Shanghai air­ports, there are now 156 au­to­mated bor­der clear­ance gates for pas­sen­gers. A ma­jor­ity of Chi­nese and for­eign pas­sen­gers en­joyed the con­ve­nience of pass­ing through the bor­der clear­ance gate within 10 sec­onds.

Shanghai Gen­eral Sta­tion of Im­mi­gra­tion In­spec­tion aims at cre­at­ing a sta­ble port en­vi­ron­ment by fur­ther im­prov­ing port con­trol and ser­vice level.
