Shanghai Administration of Work Safety recently issued rectification instructions to four State-owned enterprises. Three of them are under investigation for production safety, eastday.com reported Monday.

The administration was established on November 29. Within the first 10 days, it organized a surprise inspection on hazardous chemicals enterprises in Shanghai. Notably, it inspected and renovated 700 gas stations across the city from December 5 to 6.

The inspection mainly focused on qualification certificates, operations regulations and safety equipment. They found 379 potential dangers and issued 153 rectification orders. Over 180 rectification orders have been carried out by offenders.

The administration reminds local companies to be aware of safety and fire prevention, and to make detailed checks on potential hazards, equipment and emergency facilities.
