Gullible’s Travels

-

Among the country’s top attractions, Chaka Salt Lake in Northwest China’s Qinghai Province and Hongya Cave in Chongqing Municipality have recently been overrun by tourists transported to a make-believe world by doctored online videos. The scenic hotspots have been deluged by visitors expecting to see a glimpse of what the videos make them out to be. The mess created by an unmanageable swarm of tourists disappoints as much as the dashed expectation of not coming across something as spectacular as the videos promised. Trying not to feel disappointed, many tourists click selfies at the sites and post them online. A good tour should be relaxing, and does not necessarily have to be to a top-notch destination contrived to go up the popularity charts. People better choose places to travel to which they understand and appreciate. There is no need to jump onto the travel bandwagon.
