Shearer – Southampton to Blackburn Rovers

The England striker was a major reason that Manchester United could not make it five in a row with Cantona, his 34 goals guiding Rovers to the 1994-95 title. He signed for just 3.6 million and left for his boyhood Newcastle United as a Lancashire legend. Shearer would go on to become the English Premier League top scorer.
