Scanning codes for food needs new order

-

It has become quite common for restaurants in China to use scanning codes instead of human services for taking orders. But the new technology has caused some controversies in its application. Some say this has brought convenience. Yet others complain that elderly and minors often need the assistance to go through the process. In addition, when people scan the code for ordering food, some may be asked to provide their name, telephone number, and other personal information, which makes consumers feel unsafe. There’s nothing wrong when it comes to using technology to make our life more efficient. However, using scanning codes to order food should be one of several consumer friendly options. If the restaurant does not provide manual ordering service at all, it will bring obstacles to customers who are unfamiliar with smart phones. It also upsets consumers who are reluctant to submit personal information required by placing an order via a phone.
