The Sound of Walking – Music event
The music event in Shanghai is a concert of traditional Chinese songs and music by Chinese musician Gong Linna.
Over the years, the Chinese singer has collected numerous samples of folk music during her field trips with her husband Robert Zollitsch.
Gong’s husband, also known as Lao Luo, added the samples into his compositions and created fresh tracks performed by Gong and the Gong Luo New Art Troupe.
During the concert, audiences from all over the country will be able to appreciate local folk music together and experience the power of music and earth.
Born in 1975, Gong is dedicated to exploring and teaching traditional folk singing.
She has done research on Chinese operas and various folk music, integrating their elements with her music compositions.
According to the artist, the vitality of folk songs lies in their authenticity and simplicity.
