Teaching with wisdom

-

You can be a top student from a top university, but you could still feel a burden to tutor your child’s homework. Recently, a woman surnamed Wang released a video of her husband, who graduated from Tsinghua University, helping their daughter with homework and having a gradual breakdown. In the video, when the girl’s father was seriously explaining something, the daughter was distracted and far from following him. In the end, the father slams against the wall, saying, “I can’t teach.” The video went viral, as the situation seems too familiar to many families. A netizen said, “after watching this video, I feel better – It turns out that a father who graduated from Tsinghua University cannot teach his child.” Children can be distracted easily, and some young parents thus feel tutoring homework is a painful task. But it also signals something, what tutoring really needs is not how wealthy knowledge one has, but patience and wisdom.
