The Peacock – Dance performance
This dance show in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province is a largescale dance drama created by renowned Chinese dancer Yang Liping.
The plot of the show focuses on life and love, two eternal themes in human history. Separated into four chapters – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter – the dance drama tells a story of growth, humanity, life, love and the integration of life and nature.
Through the art of stage performance, the show explores the world and human nature, displaying the humanistic spirit of the intersection of life and art.
In this dance drama Yang presents not only beauty, but also the struggles, the tribulations and the journey of beauty, and in the end, the return of beauty.
Starring Xiao Ronghao, Yang Han, Ma Yuanhan and Mi Junji, the show brings together a group of excellent artists with Yang as artistic director. Yang, an internationally renowned Chinese folk dancer, will also make a special appearance herself in the performance.
