YG Entertainment’s celebrated boy band iKon has hit a new high on the World Digital Song Sales Chart with their latest work “Killing Me.”

According to a Billboard report, the new song reached No.2 – the best position ever for the group – with 1,000 downloads within 24 hours of its debut on August 2, just one day before the charts closed. However, that limited slot of exposure was still enough to make “Killing Me” the best-selling K-pop song among US audiences for the week.

This is the 14th single from the band to compete in the World Digital Song Sales chart. To date, their personal record for best single week sales was set by “Love Scenario,” which sold 2,000 downloads in its opening week to debut at No.4, according to Billboard.

Meanwhile, iKon’s new album New Kids: Continue debuted at No.4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart with around 1,000 traditional album units sold. This is the group’s fourth World Album entry and the fourth to reach the top five. In 2016 their work Welcome Back made it to No.2.

The seven-member boy band iKon built up a name for themselves by competing in music competition programs WIN: Who is Next and Mix & Match before releasing their first studio album Welcome Back in 2015.

The group’s Sina Weibo account has more than 580,000 followers and the Chinese version of their popular song “Love Scenario,” co-produced with Chinese musician Tiger Hu, was released in July.
