Lit­tle girl with leukemia ‘mar­ries’ dad in hos­pi­tal Bring­ing back the booth

A lit­tle girl liv­ing with leukemia saw her wish to ‘get mar­ried’ come true right in her hos­pi­tal room with her lov­ing dad step­ping in as the groom.

Four-year-old Yaxin was first di­ag­nosed in 2016 and cur­rently re­ceiv­ing treat­ment for myel­o­gen­uos leukemia (AML) at Boren Hos­pi­tal in Bei­jing.

On Novem­ber 17, she and dad Yuan Dong­fang held a cer­e­mony in her hos­pi­tal room.

Yuan said his daugh­ter made the re­quest re­cently fol­low­ing a par­tic­u­larly painful round of ra­dio­ther­apy.

“Daddy, I know I can only get mar­ried when I grow up. But... I am afraid that I might not be able to wait that long,” she told Yuan.

The pho­tos have since touched many hearts on so­cial me­dia, with many send­ing their best wishes to Yaxiu.
