S&P to add A shares

US-based financial services firm Standard & Poor’s (S&P) announced on Wednesday that it would include certain Chinese A shares in its Dow Jones Indices’ Global Benchmark, reversing a previous decision to exclude the Chinese shares.

The Chinese A shares that will be added to the benchmark include those accessible for foreign investors through stock connects between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.
