Student buys 800-yuan handwriting robot to do perfect homework
A junior high school student’s handwriting homework over the Spring Festival holiday that was so neat and completed so quickly, she ended up easily getting busted by her mother for using a writing robot.
A video on the Beijing News’ website shows a writing robot that uses an actual fountain pen to perfectly scribe Chinese characters far faster than a person could write them.
The writing robot can write specified content at about 40 words per minute, Harbin Daily reported.
The student’s mother surnamed Zhang in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province said she was surprised that her daughter had finished her handwriting homework in two days and she had made no errors.
After the woman’s daughter admitted she had bought the writing robot online for 800 yuan ($118), she broke it.
A shopkeeper told the Harbin Daily that most of his customers for writing robots are students.
It’s not difficult to distinguish between a person’s handwriting and a writing robot’s.
The robot’s writing is just too perfect, according to the shopkeeper.
