Muted grey-blues are easy, elegant shades and beige, yet different enough to set your abode apart. "If you don’t want to tackle everything all at once, I would say go with a muted grey," says Eunice. "Or muted colours, actually, but I love greys. They’re in-between bright colours and black and white. You don’t want to go with too-bright colours to start." Aside from being a choice that’s easier to work with, grey shades are an evergreen favourite – evident from Joakim’s observations. "This year, we’re seeing our various greys being used more than ever," he says. "Especially Grey Dawn – a light, reddish grey that’s very powerful despite its neutral tone. Grey colours are precise, clean, and easy to match with other colours."
Once you’ve selected your colours, don’t go splashing them all over your wall immediately. Seeing the colour within the context of the room you plan to use it in is key.
