木樓梯為現代空間注入溫暖。來自達明的有趣牆飾成睡房重點。玻璃隔板引入光線；被子和墊子均來自Bed & Bath "Outside, I converted a dirty and ugly back lane into a nicely landscaped garden feature, which adds to the compact bathroom. The darker-toned flooring and wall tiles contrast with the white textured stone countertop, bringing a modern and elegant flavour to the entire space." The result is an unexpected urban sanctuary – a cool yet cosy bathroom with a leafy view.

Comfort and relaxation were also essential to designing the interconnected living room. The curvaceous Walter Knoll-designed Bao chair is paired with streamlined sofas sourced from BW Furniture. "The word means ‘hug’ in Putonghua," explains Alice. "When you sit in this chair, you can really feel that it's hugging you, so I think the name is very suitable." Next to the living room is a sliding panel that leads to a children’s playroom for when the grandchildren come around. There’s also a clever Murphy bed hidden away in the streamlined cabinetry to accommodate Alice and her family on overnight visits.

玻璃板也把小巧花園的美景引進客房浴室，這也順理成章成為Alice全屋最喜愛的空間。「它是個驚喜處處的隱藏式洗手間。」設計師表示：「從外，髒亂的後巷也獲改造成美麗的花園景色，並加到小巧的浴室中。深色地板和牆磚配上白色質感石材工作檯，為空間注入現代優雅特色。」成果就是一個意料之外的城市寶地——飽覽綠色美景的宜人浴室。

舒適和放鬆對設計相連客廳一環來說非常重要。由Walter Knoll設計、曲線柔美的Bao座椅，與從BW Furniture搜購得來的流線型沙發互相配襯。「普通話來說，沙發名 意即擁抱。」Alice解釋：「安坐其上，即能感覺被溫暖包圍，名符其實。」客廳旁的趟板則通往兒童遊戲室，讓孫兒到來時暢玩。流線型櫃內亦收放有活動摺床，方便Alice一家到訪時留宿。
