Made of bronze and resin, it is a strong presence that both divides the home and invites one to cross the threshold. The soft and refind bedroom brings together different elements – the custom-made bed, the marble fireplace and the pivot window (of considerable size) that frames the celebrated Mole Antonelliana.

An open antechamber leads to the bathroom; its felt walls cover a long sequence of wardrobes on either side. Here, the choice of materials is, once again, not your standard fare. The flooring, shower and ceiling are in Corian, while the darkest wall is clad in slate, displaying its usually hidden underside with a pinstriped surface.

All of the designer’s choices seem to contradict the characteristic coldness usually attributed to contemporary architecture. Here, on the contrary, functionality, technical solutions, art and decorative elements declare that they can coexist – with optimum results. Using the space's unusual architecture to their advantage, Stefano and Cristina, with the help of Davide, has cultivated a warm, characterfilled abode where art lives and thrives. //
