In the dining room, Tara gives an eight-seater glass-topped table (acquired by the couple many years ago) standout appeal by painting the base white and pairing it with Artura Ficus chairs. In keeping with her love of a variety of modern and heirloom designs, she has chosen to keep the homeowners’ antique Chinese cabinets, juxtaposing them with striking Devon table lights from Eurolux and a dramatic chandelier from Area Home. Intriguing photographs, hand-coloured in 1905 and uncovered by the homeowners in San Francisco, line the walls of the space.

Aside from the dining room, the living area is also perfect for entertaining. Everything about the clutter-free room – from the modular storage unit inserted around an Ecosmart fireplace to the stone feature wall – has a stress-relieving tone. A stylish six-seater sofa allows for large gatherings, while a sleek reupholstered black micro-suede ottoman evokes a feeling of luxury.

From the main rooms, a balcony overlooks the country park. The apartment looks striking against this lush landscape, where visitors feel a powerful connection with the surrounding greenery and sky. It’s a seriously peaceful space – and that’s quite an achievement in bustling Hong Kong. //
