The cabin's rustic design is in keeping with its seaside setting; brass fixtures and accessories add a nice contrast. The mattress was custom-made to fit into the loft space; the white bed linen from Habitat is paired with a throw from Africa

Bearing these preferences in mind, Humbert & Poyet used recycled marine timber for the wall and floor panels. They hand-painted the panels white to accentuate the calm and romantic quality of the Mediterranean sunlight, giving them a homey, bucolic backdrop to work with. The architects drew inspiration from the cabin’s surroundings – the ocean, the people that work on the coast and the objects the locals use. They selected artworks and accessories that were in some way linked to the sea. "With the terrace, we wanted to create the feeling of being on board a vintage yacht with wooden flooring and hammocks," says Christophe. "Besides the nautical feel, the piano, hammock and roof seat on the terrace also really captures the personality of our client as an artist and how she sees the world."

The cabinetry was custom-designed by the duo, while brass was used for the lighting fixtures and washbasins. In line with the owner’s ecologically conscious stance, the architects used organic, locally sourced materials wherever possible; they discovered most of the decor – including a carved wooden

櫃子由組合特別設計而成，而黃銅則應用在燈具和洗臉盆。為了配合擁有人對環境保育重視的態度，建築師盡可能利用有機和搜購自當地的物料；並於二手店或古董店發現大量飾品，包括木雕船牆裝飾和古老的非洲墊子。他們亦挑選以天然棉料和重身亞麻布製作的淺淡大地色織品。
