-

LOCATION: GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT, UNITED STATES MANOR HOUSE

Perched atop the Round Hill in Greenwich, this 22-acre US sprawling estate refurbished by Tommy and Dee Hilfiger is an European-inspired rural splendour like no other. Encompassing some 13,344 square feet, the stately house enjoys panoramic vistas all the way to Long Island Sound and the Manhattan skyline. The exterior flaunts ivy-clad granite and Holland brick sheltered under a Ludowici tile roof, with the interior done in the English style with French touches.

Conceived by reputed architect Greville Rickard in in 1939, the castle was originally built for real-estate magnate Charles Vincent Paterno before having been acquired by art collector Joseph H. Hirshhorn. Given its rich heritage, the decades-old landmark has gone through a painstaking reinvention to achieve what it is today – a mansion that comprises six bedrooms, seven full baths and three powder rooms, completed with ample recreational spaces which include a theater room, a game room and lower-level wine cellar and testing room. It is surrounded by immaculately landscaped gardens that reflect the quintessential of British country-house garden, which include a fountained rose garden, a boxwood knot garden, a water garden with fountained koi pond, as well as a topiary garden. The property also comes with a charming guest house that contains a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two baths, and a two-bay garage.
