Sweet smell of success
On-going travel restrictions have led us all to times of reflection and to new discoveries a little closer to home – be they hitherto unknown talents in the kitchen or longforgotten places of beauty in the cities that surround us.
For Steve and Nicholas Leung, the fashionable father-andson team who grace this month’s cover, the halt in travel has encouraged more meaningful bonds, and has sparked deeper conversations between the two, during which their first project was born – a member-only cigar club in Central soaked in luxury.
“We want to provide a sanctuary from the city for our members to appreciate cigars with Chinese cuisine and fine wines,” says Nicholas. From the treatment of the walls and panels, to the design of floral arrangements, to the selection of artworks, every detail in the club is spot on. The result is a space that combines style and substance, as Nicholas tells us on page 42.
