After years of construction, the former home of Irving Trust Commercial Bank officially debuts as a residential skyscraper in New York’s largest office-to-residential conversion.
Located in downtown Manhattan, One Wall Street offers unobstructed views of New York Harbour and the Statue of Liberty. Built in 1931, during New York City’s love affair with art deco architecture, One Wall Street exudes timeless pedigree. The building stands today as a landmark to a bygone era.
During the transformation, Macklowe Properties maintained the architectural integrity of the structure. The limestone façade and the “Red Room”, which features a 9,000 square foot floor-to-ceiling mosaic by muralist Hildreth Meière were preserved. The property has 566 studios, four-bedroom condominiums, a penthouse and 100,000 square feet of amenity space. Apart from the residential area, it will also have 174,000 square feet of retail space. Whole Foods Market will occupy over three floors of the building’s retail area.
The mixed-use development also boasts incredible amenities. Residents can enjoy a 75-foot indoor lap pool encased in glass, 24-hour concierge service, social and coworking spaces and more.

在翻新過程中，發展商Macklowe Properties保留了不少原有的建築細節，包括石灰石外牆和「紅屋」，室內綴以由藝術家Hildreth Meière創作的9,000呎馬賽克壁畫，散發別樣格調。
