Located inside award-winning architect Jean Nouvel’s 1,050 foot high Manhattan condominium tower 53 West 53, this stunning residence takes inspiration from the nearby MoMA to create a carefully curated art-filled home.
The 3,670 square foot residence has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a windowed study, all furnished by Rebecca Robertson’s world-renowned interior design firm RR Interiors. The home combines a neutral colour palette with an interesting mix of textures such as grasscloth, alpaca, luxe wools and silks, alongside rich wood details to create soft and luxurious looking interiors.
The foyer gives way to a corner living room with east, west, and northfacing floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook New York’s backyard, Central Park. An adjacent pair of pocket doors opens to reveal a custom kitchen by Thierry Despont, which features marble countertops and a back-lit statuary backsplash that’s complemented by a back-painted glass cabinetry with polished nickel detailing and Dornbracht fixtures.
Standout furniture pieces include a custom Despont mahogany and bronze coffee table; a custom RR Interiors-designed grand travertine ovoid dining table paired with grey flannel upholstered dining chairs; and a Le Corbusier lounge chair upholstered in terry fabric.
And, if this home isn’t already stunning enough, Creative Art Partners also curated an extensive museum-worthy collection of 34 original artworks from 12 different countries to be showcased throughout the place.
