Fes­tiva im­presses with its sheer vol­ume of en­tic­ing pan-Asian dishes and fre­quent fes­ti­vals that cel­e­brate a par­tic­u­lar re­gion’s spe­cial­i­ties. While the stan­dard buf­fet sta­ples such as sal­ads, cold cuts and chilled seafood are avail­able, we sug­gest head­ing to the curry and noo­dle sta­tions, which of­fer fan­tas­tic, full-flavoured dishes. On our visit, the restau­rant was cel­e­brat­ing the tra­di­tions of Malaysia; an As­sam laksa was spot on, with plenty of strong fish and shrimp flavours in an in­tense broth. The Can­tonese meats sta­tion is also de­pend­able, offering a sat­is­fy­ingly moist poached chicken with gin­ger and scal­lion sauce. The restau­rant is usu­ally busy, but the vast num­ber of sta­tions means there is rarely a hold up at any point.
