Azure

Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

The André Fu-designed Azure restaurant and bar is an art deco masterpiece perched atop the 29th and 30th floors of the Hotel LKF in Central. Visitors must ascend via lift, then snake their way up a curving white staircase that will deposit them into a space that is almost a sparkling extension of Hong Kong's expansive skyline. Comfortable banquettes curve around various parts of the room, while large windows allow an unrestricted view of the cityscape. The wine list is laid out in a friendly manner, with bottles classified into intriguing categories such as “Between Friends” and “French Provence Corner” with convivial tasting notes. Many cocktails incorporate plenty of sweet and fruity accompaniments to the booze; the Apple Lemon Tart features vodka with apple liqueur, fresh lemons and apples, and is a nicely balanced drink to savour.
