Ava

Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

After navigating Tsim Sha Tsui's signature streets with their glaring lights and throngs of people, the space-age lift at Hotel Panorama by Rhombus whisks you up to the 38th floor, dragging more and more of Hong Kong's premium skyline into view as it ascends. Ava's staff are welcoming and accommodating, particularly when it comes to that allimportant harbour view—the bar boasts 270 degrees and corner windows that allow the staff to seat as many as possible with an eye on the skyline. The drinks themselves are safe and sound in both offerings and delivery; a perfect espresso martini was brought to the table despite not being on the menu. It may be a slight stretch from the main drag, but the relative remoteness makes Ava perfect for a quiet first date or an evening rendezvous.
