The Continental

Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

With its grand cafe decor and serious list of liquors, The Continental's convivial yet classy bar is the perfect perch for cocktail connoisseurs. Located at the front of the restaurant, with intimate nooks for smaller groups, this discreet watering hole is the perfect place to observe the beautiful people arriving for their dinner reservations. The team behind the bar have in their arsenal an impressive range of absinthes and premium gins. As befits the beautiful, classic decor, the cocktail list is equal parts traditional and whimsical. The Clover Club is done wonderfully here, as is the signature Green Beast with Pernod absinthe, lime, sugar, water and cucumber. The bar snacks are another highlight, with the fried oysters in mini-brioche buns and Parmesan custard with anchovy toast the perfect briny accompaniments to the strong libations.
