Dickens Bar

Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants (Hong Kong / Macau) - - Bar review -

For a no-fuss classic pub experience in Causeway Bay, Dickens Bar at The Excelsior offers a laid-back atmosphere and an impressive selection of craft beers. Located in the hotel's basement, this traditional British gastropub has remained popular throughout the years , particularly for its regular curry nights and quiz nights, not to mention the broadcasting of live sporting events. Dickens is also a hotspot for the after-work crowd in the area looking to unwind with a few pints at happy hour. If you're feeling peckish, a menu of hearty bar snacks can be found, including IPA-battered fish and chips, Texas spare ribs and shepherd's pie; there are also beer pairing suggestions for select dishes offered. In the way of service, servers appear to have adopted the laid-back attitude of the surroundings, making it difficult at times to get their attention.
