De­spite a slightly off-the-beaten-track West Kowloon lo­cale, W Ho­tel’s Woo­bar at­tracts a di­verse clien­tele ea­ger to sip li­ba­tions and en­joy the har­bour view be­neath its dou­ble­height ceil­ings. Wel­com­ing bar staff gladly di­rect your at­ten­tion towards the cock­tails, which are or­gan­ised into two suc­cinct suites: clas­sic and con­tem­po­rary. Of these, the lat­ter of­fers more in­ter­est­ing op­tions with the Yuzu Blos­som and the abom­inably monikered Asian Lady as the bar’s sig­na­tures. The first is a heady mix of sake, aged Ja­panese whisky, yuzu and a tan­ta­lis­ing hint of wasabi, com­pleted with a crisp sliver of ap­ple. Wines are also ac­ces­si­ble and hail largely from the New World, while spir­its are ex­ten­sive and cham­pagne is free-flow.
