At the Venue Residences in Singapore, joint developers City Developments and Hong Leong Holdings are seeking to create a community where residents can meet all their shopping, leisure and social needs in one spot. In addition to 266 apartments on the upper floors of two new buildings, the scheme will include 28 shops, cafes and restaurants at its ground-floor retail destination, The Venue Shoppes.
Residents will have access to resort-style facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool with origami-inspired cabanas. There is a residents’ Vintage Lounge filled with quirky, oldfashioned furnishings, and four Sky Terraces, each dedicated to one particular use: meditation, reading, yoga and relaxation. A gym, spa and steam rooms complete the offering.
Located on Singapore’s city fringe, the development is a three-minute walk from Potong Pasir MRT Station, which is just four stops from Singapore’s principal retail thoroughfare, Orchard Road.
Scheduled for completion by mid-2017, the apartments range from one to four bedrooms. The biggest, a three-bedroom Dual Key suite comprising a studio and a two-bedroom apartment that share a lobby, is suitable for residents looking to accommodate an elderly relative, say the developers. The 1,378sqft Dual Key suite is on the market for S$1.78 million.
