The cost of the wed­ding cake for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—a but­ter­creamsmoth­ered lemon and el­der­flower sponge. Made by Claire Ptak of Lon­don’s Vi­o­let Cakes, the dessert broke with Bri­tish royal wed­ding tra­di­tion, which dic­tates the serv­ing of fruit­cake.
