Hong Kong Tatler hosted an ex­clu­sive din­ner at the Mur­ray to hon­our the young en­trepreneurs and in­no­va­tors se­lected for the 2018 Gen­er­a­tion T List. Sup­ported by H Moser & Cie and The­ory, the event gath­ered to­gether the new Gen.T hon­ourees and mem­bers of the Tatler Tribe, the panel of in­dus­try heavy­weights who re­search and nom­i­nate in­di­vid­u­als for in­clu­sion on the list. Dur­ing the din­ner, John Wood, founder of ed­u­ca­tional char­ity Room to Read, gave an im­pas­sioned speech about the im­por­tance of build­ing so­cial pur­pose into busi­nesses, and Edi­presse Me­dia Hong Kong man­ag­ing direc­tor Sean Fitz­patrick an­nounced that the Gen­er­a­tion T plat­form would be spon­sor­ing 50 chil­dren to learn to read and write for a year through Room to Read’s pro­gramme—one for ev­ery 2018 Gen­er­a­tion T hon­ouree.

Af­ter din­ner, the 2018 Gen­er­a­tion T in­ductees and the Tatler Tribe were ush­ered up­stairs to Popin­jays for the af­ter-party, where 2016 and 2017 Gen.T hon­ourees were wait­ing, ea­ger to dis­cover the new crop of young tal­ent join­ing them on the list. The rev­ellers en­joyed spe­cial Gin T cock­tails, cre­ated in col­lab­o­ra­tion with 2016 Gen­er­a­tion T hon­ouree Vic­to­ria Chow of The Woods, while groov­ing to the bass-heavy sounds of DJ Y3LDA.
