MEET THE COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA

Made in stainless steel with a black ceramic bezel, the Cosmograph Daytona is pretty alluring before you’ve even touched it. The addition of an inky black bezel is an important update as it gives the watch a vintage feel, which fits with the old-school racing aesthetic of the Daytona. The ceramic bezel is also scratch resistant, which is ideal for the more adventurous watch lovers. The addition of a white dial makes the time even easier to read than on its predecessor, which was occasionally hard to read in direct sunlight.

When it comes to the movement, accuracy has been improved to -2/+2 seconds per day by the excellent 4130 movement, a self-winding machine with a column wheel and vertical clutch, which also features the in-house Parachrom Bleu hairspring. As with all Oyster models, the movement can’t be seen, as it’s covered by a solid case back. The only downside of this sleek, precise timepiece is its popularity. Everyone wants to get their hands on one, which means waiting lists are up to two years long.
