Kent & Curwen owner Victor Fung and his daughter, Sabrina Fung-lam, hosted a private dinner to celebrate the British menswear brand’s 90th anniversary and to introduce David Beckham as a new partner in designing and marketing future collections. The guest list for the dinner, which took place at the Garden Lounge of the Hong Kong Club, comprised members of Victor’s family, close friends and VIPS. In raising a toast to his new partnership, Beckham said: “I’m always looking to work with brands and companies that have a rich history and authenticity, and this brand is rooted in Britain, which makes our collaboration even more attractive.” For many of the guests, the highlight of the evening came later, after the final course was cleared away, when the former football star pressed the flesh and posed for candid photos, leaving most of the ladies and even a few of the men a little star-struck.
