One look at Amiri’s col­lec­tion and you’ll no­tice plenty of com­fort­able hood­ies and tees, all with a heavy dose of Cali-cool. It comes as no sur­prise, given that founder Mike Amiri was born and raised in Los An­ge­les, surrounded by the city’s street art and rock ’n’ roll mu­sic scene, which have found their way into his clothes. In fact, be­fore Amiri earned a name for him­self in the fash­ion in­dus­try as Buscemi’s head de­signer, some of his ini­tial work in­volved cre­at­ing stage out­fits for mu­si­cians in LA. Mu­sic has con­tin­ued to be an im­por­tant source of in­spi­ra­tion over his past four sea­sons, re­sult­ing in dis­tressed denim, retro high-top sneak­ers and graphic sweaters with the punk and grunge un­der­tones the brand is known for. This sea­son, tie-dyed but­ton-up shirts and buckle-de­tail cow­boy boots are fea­tures of the col­lec­tion. There’s no doubt they will be seen on the fash­ion set at Coachella and around the world, thanks to a global net­work of more than 100 stock­ists.
